College Talk with Eydie:
Helping Parents Move From Fear to Confidence Through the Teen Years and College Journey—With Curiosity, Clarity, Confidence, and a Healthy Dash of Humor
I’m Eydie — parent, entrepreneur, educator, and real-talk coach and trusted guide who helps parents move from fear to confidence as they navigate the challenges of raising teens and the college admissions journey

Hi There
I'm Eydie

Maybe a friend told you about me, or you landed here after a late-night scroll searching for a more human way to guide teens toward what’s next.
Chances are, you’re here because you care deeply about helping teenagers find their way—and maybe you’re figuring out your own next step, too.
You’re in the right place. This space is for people who believe in meaningful work, honest conversations, and redefining success—whether in business, parenting, or life.
Let’s explore what’s possible together.
About Eydie
I’m the Founder and CEO of College Bound Advising and Working Towards Change, where I’ve spent over 25 years helping families transform how they experience the college journey.
With backgrounds in social work, education, and adolescent development, I combine strategy and empathy to guide students toward confidence, purpose, and possibility—and help parents stay grounded through the process.
I believe the college application journey isn’t just about getting in; it’s about growing up. When approached thoughtfully, it becomes a chance for self-discovery, connection, and resilience for both teens and their families.
I believe the college journey—whether you’re a student living it, a parent supporting it, or a professional guiding it—can be more than a checklist of tasks. It’s an opportunity for growth, purpose, and connection on all sides.
Through College Bound Advising, Working Towards Change, and this platform, I’m here to help you reimagine what success looks like—whether in business, parenting, or life.

Speaking Engagements
I love helping families make sense of the craziness that the college admissions process can bring on. I speak with mom’s groups, book clubs, and community organizations about what parents really need to know (and what to let go of) and how to stay curious, not furious, when emotions and deadlines collide.
Each talk blends practical insight, real stories, and a sense of humor—leaving your group feeling informed, inspired, and less alone.
Let’s create a conversation that fits your group. Whether you want a casual coffee-talk Q&A, an evening panel, or a workshop-style session, I’ll tailor the content to meet your community’s needs.

What I’m Reading & Listening To
Books and podcasts are how I stay inspired, informed, and occasionally entertained.
Each month, I’ll share what’s on my nightstand (and in my earbuds)—from adolescent development and parenting to business, purpose, and fiction that makes me think (or just exhale).
I read widely and with intention—to learn, grow, and stay curious. If you’re on a similar journey, I’d love to have you join me.
Join my “think bites” email list and I’ll share:
- Why I chose each book or episode
- Key takeaways and reflections
- The next set of reads before they’re announced here

Coming Soon:
Think Bites
(in-person - real talk conversations)
Short, thought-provoking reflections inspired by what I’m reading, listening to, and observing—in parenting, education, and life. Each “bite” is designed to spark meaningful conversation between parents, students, and educators (without requiring you to read the full book or listen to the whole podcast).
Join the waiting list to be the first to know when Think Bites launches and get a sneak peek of early topics.
